The Topic – “Raksha Mantri Parrikar … An Enduring Legacy
Today, this 17th of March is exactly an year from the day we lost our beloved leader, the inspiration for Prabodhan Manch and the first speaker on our platform : Hon’ble Defense Minister and 4 time CM of Goa : Late Manohar Parrikarji.
We were supposed to meet earlier this week to commemorate his Enduring Legacy as a Raksha Mantri but keeping in mind the wellness of our audience and the various regulatory advisories, we decided not to hold our scheduled talk. However, with the overwhelming response from our audience in pre booking passes for the event, NOT doing anything about it, was NOT an option for Prabodhan Manch. So we decided to record the program and then broadcast it.
We were looking for someone who was not only an expert in matters pertaining to defence but also had a complete understanding of Parrikarji’s life journey. As his biographer, Nitin Gokhale: renowned defence analyst and journalist - fit the bill perfectly.
